1st Family Camping Trip

My son completed 1st grade on Friday! Yay!!!! We celebrated the end of the school year with going camping with some friends from our homeschool group. This was our first ever family camping trip, and it was so fun!

We drove a whopping 30 minutes (I know, so far!) and arrived at O'neill Regional Park and were blow away by the cleanliness, amenities, hiking trails, hot showers, and beautiful trees! They also have the cutest little nature center with a craft table, small museum of local animals, some hands-on activities, and free trail maps. Here are some photos of our weekend...

Goodbye house...

The kids "helping" their Dad set up the tent...

Monkeys...

Meal time was always super fun...

Fun at dinner time...

Ava was such a fun camper!...

Toasty toes...

My early morning kid. Always up with the sun...

Scooters with friends...

3 Bishops in a tree...

Me and all my littles in an amazing climbing tree...

We made ducktape bracelets and collected nature along our hike. So pretty and just shows how creative God is with His creation!

Painting rocks & sticks...

We walked to the Equestrian Center and we got to pet some police horses that were getting brushed and bathed. We loved this blue eyed "Paint" horse...

Fun with Jiffy Pop!
It is steaming...

And done!!!

Community campfire with our friends and s'mores of course...

We had a wonderful weekend and have decided that going camping is DEFINITELY happening again!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend!
Blessings,
Janiene
