Merry Christmas

I am taking the month of December off from blogging.

We decided to fill our advent calendar with others-focused giving, a simplified calendar, slower & more meaningful evenings at home with just us, and of course some times spent with good friends and family.

Be sure to pause and take in the life-changing reason for the season, God became man so that He could die on the cross and redeem man unto Himself. Wow! What a gift! Have you received that free gift of salvation and a relationship with God through Christ?

You and I are Loved by the Lord God, who demonstrated that great Love by dying on the cross for your sins and mine. He rose from the dead 3 days later, defeating sin and death and He ascended on High where He has sat down at the right hand of God, and He makes intercession for you and I - WHY? So that we can have a relationship with God. A relationship that was separated and marred by our sin. Jesus made a way where there was no way and now we can have access to the Father.

This Christmas season I am so VERY THANKFUL for the life of Christ and for the work of the cross. I pray you see what great Love the Father had on you that while you were yet a sinner, He sent Christ to die for you.

Merry Christmas dear bloggy friends.

If you have a moment, listen to this amazing song about the coming of Christ as a baby...

Luke 2:10-20
“Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,

“Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”

When the angels went away from them into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let us go over to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.” And they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in a manger. And when they saw it, they made known the saying that had been told them concerning this child. And all who heard it wondered at what the shepherds told them. But Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart. And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them.

Blessings,
Janiene
