Can you imagine what it must have been like to have seen the wonders in Egypt; all those plagues; be led out of slavery in an amazingly supernatural way; to now be trapped between the Egyptian army and the red sea; with no escape; to then walk through a parted body of water; on dry land even; and then to watch that same body of water swallow up the Egyptian army that was pursuing you to kill you; to sing songs of deliverance to God; to then freak out in the wilderness; murmur; complain; accuse your leader and God of leading you out of Egypt just to kill you there in the wilderness; to see Manna fall from heaven EVERY DAY; water pour from rocks when you were thirsty; and yet you still can't believe that God is your God and that He is who He says He is and you are His chosen people? In fact, you reject everything you saw and experienced just so that you can be bitter and consumed in your present trial? Then you die and never see what the Lord intended, FOR YOU! Your children posses it, not you. Your children press in after it, not you. Others take up the promises of God and say, YES, ME, I WILL FOLLOW YOU LORD!!!
May this same tragedy not befall us. Not befall me.
In my life, I want to keep on following.
Keep on believing.
Keep on trusting.
Keep on listening.
Keep on looking forward.
Keep right in step with God.
Yes Lord, Me, I will follow you wherever you lead me for you are good.
