goodbye January...

Wow, was it just me or did January FLY by!
Whew!
Well, here is our month in pictures...

My adorable (rascally) daughter pulled out all the sheets & found a toothbrush somewhere (gross)...

Trying to get into the bathroom
(her favorite room in the house - gross times infinity!!)...

Owen's alter ego is Buzz Lightyear. He can makes the best sound effects! Owen and Buzz have many grand adventures...

Bathtub brotherly love (although Ethan's love looks like it is choking Owen and Owen's love looks to be suffocating Ethan). These boys are so fun!...

It's been too long since I posted a sibling picture
(sorry Ava, not sure why I hadn't put your PJ's on yet)...

The yummiest Pinterest recipe yet!

These are how mine turned out...

Ava rocking an outfit that reminds me of
Rainbow Bright from the 80's (I want this outfit in my size)...

I'm excited for February! Are you??

I'm SOOOOOO glad I finally took the time to learn this!
It's super easy, and, you can learn from
Craftyminx's Crochet School.

Here is my first ever granny square
(both my grandma's would be so proud!)...

I'm in love with this little guy. I think I will make some more...

What a gift giving is!

Amazed and in awe. Humbled and very thankful.
This is how I feel today :)

I am ALWAYS amazed when someone is led to bless our family.
I love How God blesses both the giver and the receiver!

It is more blessed to give...
What a wonderful blessing to be used to make another person happy!

As the recipient of the gift,
you feel loved, thought of, cared for, humbled, thankful & blessed!

What a gift giving is!

God blessed us today with groceries from a friend. She brought us an amazing bounty of fresh fruits and vegetables, breads and eggs. We are so thankful and stand in awe at the love displayed by this gift.

Thank you dear friend.

And, thank you Lord.

a place to hang art

My kids have old fashioned closets with that weird "dead area"
as I like to call it. So, I have been searching and searching
for ideas on what to do with the deadness.
I finally found what I was looking for when I visited my friend Deb's house!!!

Here is what we created in the boys' room this week...

I used 2 simple matte nickle coat hooks that I purchased from Bed Bath & Beyond (2 for $2.99)...

Then I used a simple matte nickle curtain rod that I have had in the garage for a million years...
Finally, I used curtain clips that I purchased from Bed Bath & Beyond ($7.99)...

The total cost was $10.98 and the boys LOVED having a place to display their artwork! I love that I can change it out seasonally or when they create something special! It was a fun 1 hour project (that I had my husband install because he is the best at making sure everything is centered and secure).

I hope you love it too! :)

UPS package

Last night UPS delivered a BIG package to the Bishop household.
The boys were running around in circles they were so excited.
Our sweet Aunt Charlie sent us a package!!!

What could be inside!!! Oh the excitement and joy expressed by a child opening a package....
it is so fun to watch...

Ava loved the packing peanuts (and tried to eat every single one of them)
and the boys got busy opening presents. Owen got new pj's!! He LOVES race cars and claimed these pj's as his own :)

Ethan opened the next present, an awesome pair of brown shoes. Which Owen stole and put on...

Ava got lots of shoes, a jacket, some clothes, and....

Aunt Charlie made Ava a smocked dress! How beautiful and special to have a handmade smocked dress from her Aunt Charlie. This is such a beautiful gift!!! Look at that detail!...

Ava's new dress...

Thank you Aunt Charlie for the package filed with WONDERFUL and BEAUTIFUL surprises!
We love you and we are abundantly blessed by your kindness :)
~ XOXOXO ~

colors and k

Today I worked with Owen on matching colors.
We glued fruitloops to the coordinating square...

I love how Owen does things his own way, like gluing the fruitloops on their side.
He makes life fun!...

Ethan worked on the letter "k" today...

My heart gets full and happy when I see my little son write his name :)

this week... :)

Owen got a pair of Buzz Lightyear wings
from his friend Kai. He would not take them off all day!

Owen decided to "fly" from his bed to his brothers' bed.
He missed :(
Yup, Owen got a black eye.
Bonus for Owen, he got to use his new shark ice pack from his Christmas stocking...

Chad and the kids ended the week by playing with the new mini-foosball game. Even Ava got to play...

I love my family!! So thankful for each and every moment :)
