egg carton snowy mountains

My boys love winter.
One winter activity that we eagerly look forward to each year is sledding.
We love to go sledding.
Last year sweet Ava was an infant & our winter was very dry.
No sledding last year, boo!
My boys are super pumped to go this year and have been wanting to do winter crafts, daily.
Today we made these Egg Carton Snowy Mountains.
I love them :)
We made them last year too {click here to see those}.

What we used:
cardboard egg cartons
brown craft paint (tempura or washable)
white craft paint (tempura or washable)
paint brushes
tacky glue
snippets of fake pine greenery

First, paint everything brown...

Then, water down the white paint slightly and dab the brush on the mountain tops. We put Tacky glue in the crevices and stuck the snippets of greenery in them to create little forests in the valleys...

Such an easy peasy craft project :)
So fun!

  1. That is ADORABLE. I have never seen that before. They really do look like mountains. I won't be throwing away any egg cartons anytime soon :)

  2. This is such a cute craft. I have a link party called Wednesdays Adorned From Above Blog Hop and would love to have you share this with everyone. It runs from Wednesday through midnight Sunday. Here is the link to the party.
