My kids are going to be in a little Christmas performance tomorrow night at our church. I volunteered to make the angel halos but quickly discovered that there were no simple DIY tutorials online! But, God is always good and provides help in His way and always in His perfect timing. I was looking through the children's ministry supply room and found just what I needed, one solitary halo. It was adorable, and the construction looked simple. Score! I ran over to Target, bought the supplies and set out to make 10 halos.
I bought a package of plastic headbands. 10 count for $4.99...
I bought a container of silver wired garland for $2...
So the basic components you need to make the halo are a headband, silver wire, and the garland shaped into circles...
I bent the wire and created a 1-1/2" section in the center of the wire that is somewhat flat. I used that section to hot glue the halo to the headband. To attach the wire to the halo I simply wrapped the wire around the garland a few times to secure it...
I hot glued the wire to the headband. Once the hot glue was dry I hot glued them again, just to make sure they were good and secure. Here they all are, drying...
Here is my sweet daughter modeling the finished halo for you all...
I hope you find this tutorial helpful!
If you were like me and searched everywhere for an easy halo to make and you stumbled across my blog, I am SO HAPPY this was here to help you.

Oh my goodness. That little angle of yours is too cute for words. What a wonderful project. I think I want to turn Grace into an angel as well. Another inspiring and fun post.
