On the way home from church today my little son asked if we could make an apple pie together. "Of Course!!" was my response.
I asked him why he wanted an apple pie & he said it was because we had 12 apples from the store and he thought an apple pie would taste yummy.
I just laughed & melted as I thanked God for making E the way he is.
I had bought those apples days ago and he had been thinking, in his little 5yr old mind, of things we could make with them ever since!
So, as a family, we made an apple pie.
We pricked the top of the pie with the letter "B" for Bishop (it didn't come out quite right but we knew it was there).
I can check-off "Bake Pies & Cookies" from my {Fall Bucket List}! We have done both of these this past week :)

I love that your heart melted because not only that your son wanted to make an apple pie because you had 12 apples but that you realized he must have been debating what you could do 12 apples since you brought them home. I hope you enjoyed delicious pieces of this picture perfect pie with your wonderful family.
