Bathroom Remodel #1!!!

I love bathroom remodels. I wish I could remodel my bathrooms every 5-10 years. Clean, white, new everything makes me happy when it comes to a bathroom. We have 3 bathrooms in our home and all 3 need to be remodeled - desperately! We completed the first bathroom remodel a couple weeks ago and I thought I would share it with you. YAY!

Before...
Yes that is wood paneling everywhere!
That toilet - bleh!
Random pink tile backwash.
Green linoleum flooring.
The drawers in the vanity would not open.
The shower (not pictured) needed work on the drain.

What did we do?
Removed EVERYTHING but the shower.
Ahhhh, so refreshing to work with a blank slate!

We installed groutable vinyl tile, added base boards, a new vanity & then we painted the walls with Benjamin Moore's Peanut Butter (the color had me at it's name, then I saw it on the wall and I was in love 10 times over)...

We installed a new toilet, updated the electrical, installed new fixtures & lighting, and added new trim around the window.

Here are the after shots!

Bathroom remodel #1, done!
No more dark and outdated bathroom for us Bishops.
That mirror was only $40 on Craigslist - I love Craigslist!
And, I adore that mirror :)

If only I was as good at decorating as remodeling.
If anyone wants to volunteer their time to come decorate a bathroom, I have one I need help with :)

  1. Looks awesome!! We are terrible at getting our remodeling projects done. We currently have like 100 going right now, of which none are close to being finished. I would be all over the Peanut Butter paint color too. Yummy! :)

  3. Amazing job! It doesn't even look like the same bathroom as when I lived there :-). I especially like your choice for the mirror - it looks so much more custom and high-end than a regular mirror.

  5. Wow! Although your new remodeled bathroom is a simple and minimal one, it occupies less space now than the previous one with wood panels. Hope that your other two bathrooms have also the same theme, even if you choose different set of colors. When will you proceed to the next one?

    1. Hi William,

  6. The new bathroom looks great! It seems more space efficient. I love the white color. : ) It brings a good and clean feel to the bathroom. I also love what you did with the mirror lights. They look just simple yet so elegant. :) With a bathroom like, you have to pay particular attention to the spaces between your floor tiles, as these can harbor mold or mildew if not properly maintained. Try to clean spots with a diluted solution of chlorine bleach in water. spray or sponge it on, wait for a few minutes, then rinse well it with clean water.

  9. The new wall paint, the white sink, and the cabinet brightened up the room even more! I think it was a good idea that you removed the dark wood paneling because it ate up a lot of space and lighting in the bathroom. I love the change! Great job!

  10. I love how it looks now! The new color of the wall and cabinet brightened up the room even more. Well, I guess you won’t need more light during the day because you already have natural lighting. Btw, I love the mirror. It looks vintage!
