Carrot Cake Smoothie

While on Pinterest tonight I saw this amazing Carrot Cake Smoothie from the wonderful website Rabbit Food for my Bunny Teeth...

Carrot Cake - Yum
Smoothie - Yum
Carrot Cake Smoothie - YES PLEASE!

I had most of the ingredients so I made up my own version of this amazing smoothie. I will tell you right now, this is a SUPER delicious smoothie. My husband is sitting next to me trying to get used to it (but that is just because he has a sweet tooth and this smoothie is not very sweet) and even he is liking it! The more I drink, the more I fall in love with this smoothie. I'm smitten. AND, IT IS HEALTHY! Woo hoo! Double blessing right there!

Here is what I put in my Carrot Cake Smoothie...
1 cup baby carrots
1 frozen banana
6oz Organic Whole Milk Plain Yogurt (Trader Joes)
1/3 cup milk
1/4 cup rolled oats
1 Tbsp chia seeds
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 whole cloves
One of the following sweeteners: 2 tbsp brown sugar/2 tbsp honey/2 pitted dates (my fave!)
2 cups ice

Combine all the ingredients (except the ice) in the Vitamix and mix for 2-3 minutes. Add the ice and blend until smooth.

Ta-da!!!!...

I hope you enjoy making & drinking this as much as I did. And, pop over to the amazing website Rabbit Food for my Bunny Teeth and show them some love!

    2. I have just been kind of making things up as I go. My base is always vanilla Greek yogurt and almond milk. Since I wanted a big Apple flavor I used my juicer to juice one Apple to add into the shake. I also added one sliced Apple into it with the peel on, a frozen banana and then added cinnamon and Apple pie seasoning. Yum! Next time I might try leaving out the almond milk and just use the Apple juice, just to make it thicker. There are so many possibilities.
