My friend Debbie gave me a couple RE frames from Target.
I stared at them for months trying to think what I was going to do with them.
I finally settled on using them in my children's play/preschool room.
Here's what I came up with...
The top frame has the boys' memory verse from Children's Ministry.
The bottom frame has the boys' week days at a glance.
I'm teaching my 2yr old his colors so everything I make for him is rainbow themed ;)
All I did to make these boards was ~
open the frames,
lay down colored construction paper
and then reassemble the frames!
No tape. No glue.
So simple!
Instead of spending extra money on dry erase markers,
I use my children's washable crayola markers.
They function just like a dry erase marker.
Sometimes, if you let the ink stay on for a long time
you won't be able to wipe it off.
Simply use a diaper wipe or a tissue with a little water to remove the writing.
But, when I have a dry erase marker on hand I use it!
The boards do look great with a dry erase marker...

Awesome job honey!
ReplyDeleteLove those boards! And I am pretty happy to find out that Washable Markers work as Dry Erase.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kyetra! Happy Saturday :)
ReplyDeleteJaniene,
ReplyDeleteThat's a fun use of dry erase boards -anything to keep the little ones on track! Plus, I love it when my kids embrace a charted routine.
I'm visiting from the Lines Across My Face linky party. I would love if you stopped by my blog.
Thanks for sharing,
Laura
Schedules are super important to my 5yr old. He is always wanting to know what's on the agenda - when he can play outside - when he can have a snack. So, I finally made these and put a clock next to it :) It's working great!
DeleteThanks so much for stopping by!

Love this idea! I'll definitely need something similar when we start homeschooling in a few years!

Those are cute, a great idea for the bigger frame, too!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kimberly! :)
Deleteblessings!!
Very cute - do they have plastic or glass? I want to do this but not sure if the markers will just stain the plastic....
ReplyDeleteThey are actually plastic. The dry erase has not stained them yet and I have used them every day since this post. Glass works great too though :)
DeleteHope this helps! Send me some pictures if you make some of these :)
