Happy Mother's Day!!
If you have been following my mosaic flower pot posts,
I made the big one to give to my MIL for Mother's Day.
Here is what I did...
I took some burlap and wove strips of it together...
I filled the pot with styrofoam and then hot glued the burlap on top...
I cut off the excess burlap...
Then I tucked in the burlap - SO PRETTY right!?!?
(and, although you could not really see the woven beauty once the sticks and cake pops were on top, I knew it was there! Also, after all the cake pops were eaten, you could see this beautifulness then)...
Next, I made the cake pop sticks.
I cut out 12 leaves, gathered 12 bamboo skewers, and cut 6 pipe cleaners in half (to make 12 medium sized pieces)...
Here are my completed cake pop sticks (12 total)...
I spaced them evenly and stuck them into the styrofoam...
I added some cupcake liners (to look like flowers blossoming)...
And then right before I gave her the bouquet,
I put all the cake pops onto the skewers.
Ta-da!!!!!!!!

Erin's Awesome Cake Pops
Step 1 ~ Bake a cake according to the box.
Step 2 ~ When the cake is done, and still warm,
break it up into crumbs.
Step 3 ~ Mix in a container of frosting.
Step 4 ~ Form balls using your hands and put them in the freezer for 15 min to harden/cool
Step 5 ~ While the cake pops are cooling, melt chocolate chips.
Step 6 ~ Dip the cake ball in the melted chocolate and refreeze for 15 min to harden/cool
ENJOY!!!

I remember my mother's prayers and they have always followed me. They have clung to me all my life.
Paul said of Timothy in 2 Timothy 1:5...
"I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well."
And then Paul said to Timothy in 2 Timothy 3:14-17...
"But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work."

Let's pray for our kids and be diligent to teach them the Holy scriptures!! What a high calling and blessing it is to be a Mom.
Blessings to you,
