no bread for me - Day 1

"She looks well to the ways of her household,
and does not eat the bread of idleness."
Prov 31:27

So, I have to admit, I am a bit tired today.
BUT, I look around my house and I am energized
by all that my husband and I accomplished yesterday!

Task #1
Cleaning/Organizing a room for 30min
(I cleaned our guest room, we set up the guest bed - now we are ready for visitors)

Task #2
Put in the bathroom vanity and baseboards
(Chad did all this)

Task #3
Meal Planning
Monday was Fish, Rice & Greenbeans
Well, I had all day to think about it and that was probably the best part about planning out my meals! I have to admit, I never really liked being bound to a meal that I had planned a week before. But, the beauty that I discovered yesterday about meal planning is you have all day to think about tweaking the meal or really making it special.
Because I thought about it ahead of time I also was able to be efficient with my time!
In 20 min I was able to make a great dinner!
We had breaded fish tacos with ancho chili sour cream sauce.
I don't really like fish, but this was so delicious!
Definitely keeping this meal on my list of go-to-meals!

Task #4
Work out.
After the kids were asleep I popped in Jillian Michaels and I burned those calories!
I felt great, albeit nauseous from the intensity, after the workout.

I hope to learn and grow this week.
Thanks for joining me on my journey!

  1. Good for you Janiene! This is encouraging to me! Especially the work out part... That is certainly not what I do after the kids are in bed. ;)

  2. It has been so hard for me to find a good time to work out! Mornings are insane and afternoons are out due to focusing on my kiddos. Night workouts are late but a good quiet time. So, that is the time :) I am so glad you stopped by my blog to say hi!

Thanks for the comment!! :)
