Fun Friday's

Our friends came over today and we made trees with our arms, hands and fingers...

Ethan said his tree was an apple/blueberry tree :)

Owen's whimsical and eclectic tree :)

Mommy's apple tree mock-up to show them how to do it - that is Ethan's hand and arm as the tree trunk.

Sweetie-girl decided to take a try at sitting up and side-sitting, she is getting so big!

Ava Eating Brown Rice Cereal :)

FOOD!!!!!!!

Ava (aka, "sweetie-girl") is discovering the wonderful world of food!  We are now feeding her brown rice cereal - YUM! :)

We make the cereal ourselves from brown rice.  Next week we will introduce banana.  I love introducing new foods to babies and watching them experience the different tastes.  So fun!

Negative Space & Butterflies

We have started preschool lessons at
The Bishop Institute of Excellence!
For the last 2 weeks we have done art lessons that teach: following directions, shapes, drawing, watercolor butterflies & negative space.

Here are a few of our results :)

Ethan sat next to me and copied what I was drawing as I gave him instructions. Top is a crocodile, bottom is a cat.

This is Ethan's elephant that he parallel drew with me while I gave him instructions.

 Ethan's watercolor butterflies.

~Wonderful Saturday Mornings~

Owen is Mommy's BIG helper!

Ethan is learning bigger/smaller and greater than/less than on the computer.

Ava is playing with the cuddly bear her Great Aunt Charlie & Great Uncle Bruce gave her.

A Visit from Great Grandma Fitz

We picked up Great Grandma Fitz and brought her over to the house for the afternoon. We had a wonderful time skype-ing with Pam & Dan in Wisconsin. Grandma kept asking how we were able to see them and talk to them and said we must have spent thousands of dollars to do so. We assured her that it was free and that we could do this every week. She was so happy she had tears in her eyes :)

Here are some pictures of her visit...

down for the count

Ava has her first fever.
Considering she is the third kid, I am pretty happy that we made it this far!! (Ava will be 5 months old in a little less than a week.)

She has been sleepy and super snuggly.
Nothing really wrong, that I can see, other than the fever so it must be the typical default answer.....teething :)

Let's hope the teeth don't take too long to make an appearance!

Chad caught a flying green fig beetle and tied a string to it.....Ethan had a blast holding the string while the beetle flew around him in circles.
