Fun with a 25yr old Easy Bake Oven

Today, my Mom and Grandma came for a visit. My Mom brought a surprise with her...the Easy Bake Oven I played with when I was a kid (still in the original box)! We cleaned it, plugged it in, and squealed with delight when the light turned on and the oven heated up

Grandma bought like 8 varieties of Easy Bake packets (they sell them at the 99cent Store now). Ethan chose brownies first, so Grandma mixed it up...

Owen helped with the mixing...

The brownie in the "cooling station" as my Mom called it...

The finished brownie, and let me say, it was so yummy!!

After the brownies, Grandma and her boys made some heart-shaped cookies.  Owen was so excited to make cookies...

Owen wanted to share one of his cookie creations with Great Grandma. There were so many sprinkles on top, you couldn't even see the cookie! :)

For their last treat, Ethan chose cinnamon sugar pretzels. These were so cute and yummy!

The boys with their cooked pretzels...

Yum! Cinnamon sugar pretzels!

Thank you Grandma Sandy for baking yummy treats with us today!!!
Love, Ethan and Owen

I had so much fun with the boys! I still can't believe the light bulb worked after having been stored for over 2 decades. Love you!

  2. Ahhhh, what sweet memories I have of the Easy Bake Oven when I was a kid. That is so neat that your Mom still had it after 25 yrs, and in the original box for crying outloud! I know I would have squealed with delight seeing it work too. What a fun afternoon!

I have so much enjoying browing through your blog and am excited to be a new follower. Thank you for the sweet comment you left me on my blog. It made my day! :)
